What is Blue Lotus Flower?

Blue Lotus Flower is the dried flower of Nymphaea caerulea, historically known as the Sacred Lily of the Nile. Despite the "lotus" name, it is a water lily, not a true lotus. The whole dried flowers are offered here.

About the plant

Blue Lotus appears throughout ancient Egyptian art and iconography, where it held religious and ceremonial significance along the Nile. It is distinct from the Sacred Lotus, Nelumbo nucifera, which we carry as Pink Lotus.
