What is Klip Dagga Flowers?
Klip Dagga is Leonotis nepetifolia, a plant in the mint family (Lamiaceae). Its distinctive orange tubular flowers grow in spiky globes along the stem and resemble the ears of a lion, which gives the plant its common name "Lion's Ear." The dried flowers are offered here.
About the plant
It is closely related to Leonotis leonurus (Wild Dagga, or "Lion's Tail") and grows across tropical Africa and, as an introduced species, much of the tropics worldwide.
