About the author
Rosemary Gladstar founded the California School of Herbal Studies, one of the first formal herbalism schools in the American West, along with Sage Mountain in Vermont and United Plant Savers, the organization for conserving at-risk native medicinal plants. She has taught traditional herbalism for more than fifty years.
