About the oil
Tangerine essential oil is cold-pressed from the peel of Citrus reticulata, a small mandarin-family citrus. Like sweet orange it is very rich in limonene, typically 85 to 95 percent, and shares that bright citrus character, but with a slightly sweeter, more nuanced edge. It has very little furocoumarin content and minimal photosensitivity concern, which sets it apart from bergamot.
Tangerine is a friendly, familiar citrus note that blends easily in fragrance work.
