What is Kava 70% Extract?

Kava 70% Extract is a concentrated extract of Piper methysticum standardized to 70% kavalactones by weight. It is one of the most concentrated kava preparations available and the strongest extract we carry. It is produced by concentrating the kavalactones from kava root, so a small amount of extract represents the kavalactones of a much larger amount of root.

How kava extract differs from root powder

Traditional kava is ground root prepared by kneading in water. An extract concentrates the root's kavalactones, which is why extracts are measured in grams and sold in much smaller sizes than root powder.
