Rose Buds and Petals – Rosa canina
These rose buds and petals come from the Dog Rose, a climbing rose species native to Europe, Asia and parts of Africa. Most people don’t think of roses as a food, but dried rose buds and petals are a good source of vitamin C and make a colorful addition to teas or salads. Roses are most often infused in oil or alcohol to be used for their fragrance in skin cleaners, soaps, lotions and creams.
