What is Red Maeng Da kratom?
Red Maeng Da is a red-vein strain of Mitragyna speciosa in the Maeng Da family. "Maeng Da" began as Thai grower slang for top-grade leaf; today it denotes a Thai-origin lineage that is now cultivated in Indonesia. The "red" refers to the reddish color of the leaf's central vein, which develops as the leaf reaches full maturity, and red-vein kratom is made from the most mature leaf and is dried the longest of the three vein colors.
That longer cure is the defining step for any red strain. Red Maeng Da leaf is harvested late, then dried for an extended period, which is what gives red-vein powder its deeper color and distinct alkaloid balance compared with green and white leaf from the same trees.
Where our Red Maeng Da comes from
Our Red Maeng Da is grown by established Indonesian farms on islands such as Borneo and Sumatra, where most of the world's kratom is cultivated. Fully mature leaves are hand-picked, de-stemmed, and cured before being milled to a fine powder.

Red Maeng Da vs. other red-vein kratom
Among red veins, strains are distinguished mostly by origin region and lineage:
